Diabetes and African Americans
24 Months To Diabetes Elimination

Remember The DayStar

"...It is not so much as the cause as it is the cure we are now focused on

Guiding In The Night
With small faith, silent resolve, we will...
Start with a seed, start with the children
Water the seed, read to the children
Nourish the seed, tell stories to the children
Up to this point they ate poison, as evident by empty houses void of children

Mission
To all who hear this, those in the hood and beyond.
We will rid the black community of diabetes in the next 24 months.

Vision
Thereafter, we will establish a sustainable health related prevention framework for future generations.

Every empty lot can have a house filled with children.

Eliminating Diabetes In 24 Months
How? As indicated in the opening poem, we will start with a seed.
You, we, as of this moment, will tell children stories (planting new seeds in our kids minds )that will make them like to eat organic green veggies. You will write new children's books, every house hold should have their own books of good health related stories to share and read during the day and before going to bed.

Reconnect To Earth
Over the centuries, God has anointed parents to impart their wisdom to their own kids. Many great nations have achieved greatness without ever being exposed to twenties century schooling. At first, you will not immediately see any external changes in your child, rest assure that the nightly reading to your child's young mind is having an instant affect on their brain. This is equivalent to watering a seed. Your children are seeds. Read the article on "The Power Of First Impressions". Seeds do not sprout while in the hand, nor if placed in the earth. Seeds need three components to sprout, they need earth, water and heat. Immediately upon sprouting they need constant sun light. Look out the window and see what you have grown.

The reason for the sharp rise in people being diagnosed with type 1 diabetes is the chemically injected food you purchase at major food outlets. Your neighborhood in some measure reflects what you have or have not placed in your kids mind. See what's else is in your fast food. (BlackLight Food Droid,)

The Purpose, Preventing Diabetes:
There is an old children's' s story "The Tale of Two Paths," it is about two mysterious stairways. One stairway was beautiful and well decorated, while the other stairway was rather tattered in appearance. The main character of the story was presented an opportunity to choose which stairway to take. It turns out that the beautiful stairway did not lead to heaven, on the contrary, the old and rambling stairway however unappealing, was the correct path to salvation. The reason for the sharp rise in people being diagnosed with type 1 diabetes is the chemically injected food you purchase at major food outlets. But, another reason you buy from local food establishments is analogous to this old story. How? The beautiful TV commercials always showing kids having lots of fun eating the good brand name, tasty fast food and drinking sodas. See what's else is in your fast food. (BlackLight Food Droid,)

Begin by reprogramming your kids minds, the proper path may be hidden in children's books.

There is a series of Run Tippy Run - Draw Me Healthy Kids Book, these stories will attempt to introduce a green diet concept to young children. By illustrating a direct link to green food and health, we induce kids to question their current food choices & sources.
Using carefully designed graphics, we attempt to induce the young readers to start questioning their food choices and food sources. So that they don't blindly choose aesthetics over organics.

Also, take your time and enjoy the photographs, listen to the thoughts and feelings that these images place in your heart. I have walked with nature and it has been truly therapy to my soul in more ways than I can tell you. These images will help relieve stress and help you clear your mind from the noise of everyday life that blinds us all, blinding us from hearing what can truly help us. We can fight being diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. We can all help our kids draw their future without diabetes. We can change our path.
